Tired....

So, I am definitely feeling pregnant now - tired, cranky, nauseated, sore boobs. No fun. I had forgotten what hard work growing a baby is...even though I don't have anything to show for it yet, my body is working hard, and it wears me out! :) Stella has been pretty good though, which helps. Unfortunately I've been having a hard time getting her to take her nap lately, which is a bummer because I usually need a nap by then too. Yesterday she fell asleep fairly easily, but then woke up 20 minutes later (just as I was settling into bed, of course).

On a more positive note, if my calculations are correct, I should be due mid-November. Yay! It should be a nice break between birthdays for baby and Stella. We're starting with a new insurance company next month, so I'll wait until then to find a midwife. There is a lovely woman at our church who is apparently an amazing midwife, but she can't take our new insurance. :(

We've had some dreary weather lately. Right now it's snowing! What happened? I thought it was spring now. The day before Easter was lovely. Stella and Daddy took the bus downtown and I met them down there a little later at Pike Place Market. Then we took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. We realized, though, that there's not really much to do over there other than shop, although we did have a nice walk around and enjoyed the sunshine (and daddy's first day off in a while!).

Stella and I did an Easter craft with some friends last week. We made bunny puppets out of neckties. I think the big girls had more fun than the little girls! Can I just say that anything involving googly eyes is going to be fun?! You can read about our adventures, and see lots of pictures, at Keren's blog. I didn't get many good pictures, except this cute one of Keren and Ella:

And here is Stella putting on her bunny tail.

I also forgot to post pictures of the knitting project I've been working on for what feels like FOREVER. I couldn't figure out how I wanted to do it, so I kept taking it out (which is a pain with the fuzzy yarn), and it just dragged on and on. I finally finished them maybe two weeks ago, and I'm fairly pleased with them. They are too big around the top, so they slide down, and they really are a bit silly looking, but they are super soft and Stella seems to like them. Ani (Stella's best buddy) picked out the yarn, and she has a matching pair (although her mom made hers in less than a week and with a cute little ruffle).

And here are some birthday party pictures.

I guess Grandma's going to have to spend her Thanksgiving holiday in Seattle, taking care of Stella and baby Hays! I love ALL the pictures, especially Stella's fuzzy legs.

Sarah, I admit to some jealousy about your life in the Pacific Northwest. It looks and sounds lovely. I am glad you are so happy there.

I hated the 1st trimester... such a drag because you don't LOOK pregnant and you FEEL horrible. Hang in there! Sending hugs your way.

Cute pics of Stella's b-day! I still remember last year's party, and it was a lot of fun. Glad you had a good time this year too and wish we could have come. Michelle would have loved it!
