paying bills? And balancing the checkbook? When you have no money? In order to help myself not be bogged down by the fact that we have less than no money, I thought I would list some things I am grateful for. (Yes it's cheesy, but it's my blog, and I'm bummed, so I'm doing it anyway.)
-Jonathan found the Peasall Sisters CD, which I'm listening to right now
-We have an AWESOME place to live
-Lots of time spent with Amanda and Baby Sam
-A great new haircut
-A working computer with internet access (my connection to the world!)
-An extremely hard working (and cute!) hubby
-The cutest little girl this side of the Mississippi (and the other side too, I'll bet)
-A family who, though far away, are the greatest EVER (love you, Anna, Todd, Mom & Dad) :)
-Sunshine!
-Yummy enchilada casserole
-Coffee!
-Our new church family
-My pals at knitting group
-Stella peeing on the potty (do not underestimate the value of this!!)
What are you grateful for? Join in the cheesy-ness!

BIG HUGS coming your way.
That is amazing about Stella using the potty. We are finally getting Calvin to do it, with lots of protesting...
I'm grateful for:
My beautiful kids
My sweet husband
A job that is flexible, with a great boss, and good pay.
Racewalking!
Good health and being able to wear a size 6 :) after being a size 24 for a number of years.
Good friends and a good church.
Grapefruit - love it!
OK, it's starting to get silly so I'll stop now :)
I'm grateful for the moments of freedom among the chaos. At times, it is a crazy life, but it is the life we have chosen...thanks be to God that we can DO such a thing!
well, it IS a great haircut...but maybe you could share it with us?
I'm grateful for bathtubs. How do people live without them?
I am grateful for the friends God has brought into our life and the life of New Song- like you and Jonathan and Stella! I remember when Nate and I were getting married how much I hoped he would someday get to meet you. I know your friendship meant a lot to him while you were here in Utah. And of course it continues to mean a lot to us both. Hopefully we can always have that- no matter where we all end up. Our love and our prayers are with you, little Hays family!
I'm thankful for brothers who make enough money that they are willing to take you to the Red Iguana for dinner.
I'm thankful for cousins who move out to Utah so that said brothers will have a reason to move out of my house.
Ooh, yeah, bathtubs.
I'm thankful I speak and understand English and I haven't had to go through the hard things many refugees have.
I'm thankful for nice people.
And for the cutest niece on this side of the Mississippi.
I'm thankful for Red Iguana.
On that note, I'm off to dinner.
I'm thankful that you put up with me for the last few days so that I could enjoy some time with my son, lovely daughter-in-law (who else would take an old guy to a hamfest!), and my beautiful grand-daughter.
(Sorry I was sick and not that great of a guest.)
