Home Sweet Home

On Monday we moved into our new house. Even though there is still lots of unpacking to be done, it still feels pretty much like heaven. I love not only being in our own place, but in this place. The house is really cute. We're about a block away from our senior pastor's house, fairly close to the church, and near coffee shops and a great park. We've also had a full week of glorious sunshine, which always makes life better. Stella and I have had lots of nice walks and time at the park.

I got my hair cut today. This is my first really good haircut in quite a long time, and I am so pleased. I love how a haircut (especially a long overdue one) can make you feel like a new person. Also, Jake and Erin have been visiting the last couple of days. They're headed to the airport right now for a late-night flight back to Houston. They were in town for a conference, and stayed here with us in our new house. Stella got really attached to Erin, and I imagine I will be hearing a lot of talk about Erin over the next few days. It has been so fun to have them here. I love having people around, and sometimes I really miss having other people live with us. (Auntie Michaela, we miss you!) On Saturday we checked out Snappy Dragon, a local Chinese place that everyone raves about, and discovered that it truly is as tasty as they say. Sunday we had a bunch of people over and Jonathan bbq'd burgers in yet more beautiful weather. It is fantastic to finally be able to have people over, which both Jonathan and I absolutely love to do.

So, we now have a house, let the visiting begin! :)

Yay!! for finally being in your own house! We ended up being with the Berends for three months! It was great, but we were ready for our own place. Are you all in Queen Anne or some other great neighborhood? Glad all is well in Seattle!

What a totally DARLING house! I am so happy for you guys to have your own place. Has your house here sold yet? I hope so...

Ahhh, nice weather. It's finally starting to be nicer here, and I'm thinking of taking the kids to the zoo tomorrow :)

We miss you!!! Give Stella a kiss for us.

Congrats!!! I'm so glad you were able to get into the house. It looks lovely. And it is nice to really have people over. I'm happy for you! BTW- check your e-mail 'cause I sent you somethin' the other day. Hope to hear from you soon.
Oh- and since you like having folks over, if Nate and I want to come visit, should we just plan on bunking at your place??? :)

the house looks PERFECT!!! I'm so glad that it worked out...

So, ahem, what about a haircut photo??!! (I'm longover due, too. Did you know SOME PEOPLE schedule their next haircut the day they get a haircut? How can they plan so far in advance, the hair ideas, and financial stability? Craziness....)
