On Wednesday Stella and I went to the beach. It was pretty much the perfect afternoon. It was in the mid 70s and beautifully sunny. Stella and I ate a picnic lunch, dug in the sand, stuck our toes in the water (cold!), and we were even joined for a short time by Ani and her mom and new baby brother. And Stella put sand in my hair, which she thought was hilarious. Even Stellb relaxed in the sun and was very mellow for the rest of the day. Then we came home and had a very satisfying nap. :)

And here is a picture from some time in June. We took a drive and stopped to stick our toes in a river somewhere near Snoqualmie, I believe.

Yesterday Stella and I went to the park near our house to meet our friends for Women in Prayer (which is a bit more like "play at the park" during the summer). :) It's just so nice to be outside after waiting SO LONG for nice weather! The weather has been spectacular all week. And most days there is a nice breeze. I'm trying to spend lots of time outside while we can. After the park we hung out all afternoon with Amanda and Sam at their lovely home. I am so thankful for the wonderful women I've been privileged to get to know here! God has provided me with friends in a way that has been better than I'd hoped for.
And here are some booties I made for Spud, who we look forward to meeting very soon. They turned out a bit wonky and big, but I have been assured that Spud's daddy has big feet, so hopefully they will fit Spud nicely in the fall. :)

(And happy birthday today to Spud's mama, Jessica!!) That's pretty much all of the knitting I've done in a while. I have a few plans involving pink yarn for another friend who is having a girl, but I haven't started anything yet. And I have no idea what I'd like to do for Stellb! Since she'll be born in November, she'll need a couple of warm cozy things right away. (Although last November it really wasn't all that cold. I need to remember I live in a moderate climate now!)
Now Stella and I are going to eat quesadillas for Second Breakfast. :) Have a lovely Saturday!

Mmmmm....smoothies, quesadillas...YUM!
LOVE the beach pictures (and the strawberry shortcake bathing suit!), thanks for posting more!
No such luck on tubing today. :( You are required by state law to wear a life jacket on the Provo river, so even if we did find somewhere to buy tubes, we'd have to buy life jackets as well...so we gave up. i think we'll try for next week.
Thanks for updating us :)! We have missed you.
I'm with Anna - love the beach pictures! Where did you go? It just makes me want to move back to the beautiful Pacific Northwest (especially this summer - it's been awfully hot).
So is Stelb a girl (you said "she'll")???
